Birding

As a migratory flyway, the Rockport-Fulton area hosts a myriad of coastal land and water birds and offers wonderful bird watching on beach observation decks, birding trails, coastal birding cruises, and more.

Birding

Signs are posted throughout Rockport Beach to identify areas closed for Black Skimmer nesting sites. During some periods of the year, roads beyond the Saltwater Pavilion are closed to vehicles to protect nesting Skimmers and their young. PLEASE BE AWARE OF ALL BIRD SIGNAGE.
