| The Aransas County Navigation District (ACND),
exists to conserve and develop natural resources, including
the navigation of its inland and coastal waterways, the
surface and submerged land deeded to it by letters of patent
and acts of the Texas Legislature and all other land and water
resources acquired for the benefit of the citizens of Aransas
County.
In less complicated terms, ACND is responsible to
maintain and improve public waterways and public waterfront
facilities, such as harbors, boat ramps, and fishing piers.
At the current time, ACND has 4 main facilities
under its purview:

PUBLIC NOTICE
Beginning with the meeting of January 7, 2008, the Aransas
County Navigation District will hold its regularly scheduled
monthly meetings on the 1st and 3rd
Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the City of Rockport,
Council Chambers, 622 East Market Street, Rockport, Texas.
